As our business expands, we are actively searching for skilled and enthusiastic hair and makeup artists to collaborate with us on an as-needed basis. Anticipate that the role will evolve beyond hair and makeup responsibilities, with your income increasing as we succeed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with photographers and clients to understand their vision and provide hair and makeup services that complement the overall aesthetic of the shoot.

• Demonstrate expertise in working with all ages, from children to seniors, ensuring each client feels confident and beautiful.

• Assist lead photographers during sessions, helping make sure they are comfortable and feeling beautiful! You would be there for the entire photo session.

• Be willing to enhance skills and knowledge that are specific to the portrait photography business.

• Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis. Unlike the wedding business, a lot of our work can be scheduled during the week, rather than the weekend.

Job Requirements

- Proven experience as a Hair and Makeup Artist, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

- Comfortable working in the photography industry.

- Proficiency in working with older skin and hair textures is highly desirable.

-Enjoy working with children.

- Interest in learning to be a portrait photographer is a bonus but not a requirement.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Join us for our next expansion!

We have just completed a 1,000-square-foot professional portraiture studio in East Round Rock and are planning on expanding to new clients who will require a skilled hair and make-up artist for their photo sessions. We plan to run local campaigns for celebrating mature (over 40) women, fine art relationship sessions, general family portraiture, and studio-based sessions for high school seniors.

Job Description

We are looking for at least one skilled Hair and Makeup Artist who is comfortable working in the photography industry. The skill set required would be similar to that for supporting the wedding business, and preparing bridal parties for their big day, Time with the client will be limited. An hour or up to two hours will be scheduled at the beginning of a photo session. The session itself will last about an hour to an hour and a half. The ideal candidate for the job will have experience working with clients of all ages including a strong proficiency in working with older skin and hair textures. We will only interview clients who can take of both hair and make-up.
